PRESTATYN CARNIVAL 2011
Saturday, July 23rd heralded Prestatyn Carnival Association's Diamond Jubilee Carnival. As North Wales largest carnival event, it attracts thousands of locals and visitors every year. As Miss Prestatyn, Chloe took part in the grand parade, looking lovely in her dazzling dress.

Once on the carnival field, Chloe's afternoon was packed with duties. Here she takes to the stage in Arena 2 to perform one of her favourite songs, as she adopts her alter ego of singer and entertainer.

Back to work for Chloe, this time in the marquee to co-judge the annual Prestatyn Baby Show competitions, along with the Deputy Mayor and Mayoress of Prestatyn. This year greeted a record entry of babes and young children, in categories up to ten years of age.

On Bank Holiday Monday, 30th May, Chloe attended Prestatyn's popular Classic Car Show, as a VIP guest. Asked to select one of her favourite cars, Chloe plumped for a restored Mini, with a bright girlie pink paint job!

As well as the more serious job of selling raffle tickets and collecting for charity, Chloe managed to find time to hop on to one of the superbikes, always an attention grabber, outside Prestatyn's Council Offices. On this occasion, it was Miss Prestatyn attracting the attention.

SCALA CINEMA & ARTS CENTRE 2011
A gathering of craft stalls was organised to celebrate "International Women's Day" on 8th March in the Scala's foyer. Chloe enjoyed an interesting afternoon chatting with exhibitors and appreciating the products on offer, including Heidi Evans with her woodturned crafts.

ICELAND BAG PACKING 2010
On 22nd December, Chloe's busy Christmas schedule continued with customer bag packing at the Iceland food store in Prestatyn, helping to raise funds for the town's summer Carnival. One of the afternoon's shoppers was Chris Bond, General Manager of Prestatyn's Scala Cinema complex.

In Rupert Children's Ward at Glan Clwyd hospital, Bodelwyddan on 17th December, Chloe realised her wish to meet the children who might not be home for Christmas. Here she chats to 12 year old Bodelwyddan girl, Shannon Young, who had just been admitted.

In the Play Room, Chloe met 9 year old Louis Cooper and his visiting sisters, Molly and Sammy. Chloe said afterwards that this brief hour long visit had simply "made her Christmas". Well said, Chloe.

On 15th December, Chloe co-judged Prestatyn's annual Best Decorated Christmas Shop Window competition, together with Deputy Mayor, Cllr. Alan Pennington & Consort, Gill Glass. This year's winner was Klee Hair & Nails; and here Sophie Griffiths receives the awards.

Also on 15th December, the same team chose Prestatyn's most attractively dressed Christmas Tree in a commercial premises. Chloe presents the winner's shield to proud owner, Lisa Cywinski, of Wedding Bliss.

COFFEE MORNING 2010
On 10th December, Chloe was invited to attend the Christmas coffee morning in aid of the British Heart Foundation, at the Presbyterian Church Hall, Prestatyn. Chloe helped out with the serving of coffee and mince pies.

As well as serving refreshments, Chloe also sold raffle tickets, chatted with visitors and here, helps volunteer, Eileen Tyas, arrange a bric-a-brac stall.

A special film quiz party took place at Prestatyn's Scala Cinema & Arts complex on 6th December. Chloe was interviewed as part of a Radio 4 programme, as well as running the raffle and partly hosting the evening.

For the second time within a week, Chloe met Father Christmas, who helped out with the raffle draw. Overall quiz winners received free Scala cinema tickets.

On Sunday 5th December, Chloe was invited to start a fundraising Santa Run, together with town Mayor, Cllr. Mike Eckersley. Beginning at the Nova Centre, it went to the Ffrith Beach and back again.

Organised by Canon Clive Southerton in aid of the "Open Every Door" project, verging on £1,000 was raised via sponsorship. Despite freezing weather, Chloe also went the full distance, along with a variety of Santas, several dogs and even two horses - with riders, of course!

On 2nd December, following the Christmas Lights switch-on, Chloe visited Father Christmas in his Grotto within the Town Council offices. Here, she met Santa and his helpers during a whirlwind tour of the nation.

Groups of local schoolchildren performed songs, the Carnival Association "royal" family handed out sweets, and following the switch-on, Chloe entertained with two songs from her repertoire.

On 2nd December, Prestatyn's annual Christmas Lights were switched on. Town Mayor, Cllr. Mike Eckersley performed the ceremony together with Chloe in Ty Nant square in front of a large gathering, despite the bitter cold.

Second runner-up was Samantha Evans (right), first runner-up was Naomi Fairhurst (left). Chloe said afterwards that she was shocked, but overwhelmed that she had won. She said she couldn't wait to begin her duties for the year ahead.

On 26th November, the Miss Prestatyn contest took place in the Starlight Suite at Prestatyn's Nova Centre. Eighteen year old local entertainer, Chloe Hopkins became the third winner of the new era title, winning £2,500 worth of prizes.
